Opt-in retreats are one of the greatest gifts a school can give to their students.
We were blown away by the dedication of the staff at Luther College who, every year, provide students with the opportunity to attend a Writing Retreat at Elkanah Lodge in Marysville.
We were honoured to facilitate a morning chapel about the theme of being ‘seen.’ Students considered what it is like to be truly seen by friends, loved ones, and by God.
After morning tea, we hosted a writing class with the larger group, which ended with students sharing their stories in the form of a large mosaic. They practiced writing about larger themes using finer details.
In the afternoon, we were able to hang out with the Mustard group, hear how they are tracking and share from the Bible about discerning God’s calling.
