The world leading program is trans-disciplinary meaning intensive occupational, speech and music therapies are combined with educational programs catering specifically for each student/participant. The team approach at Giant Steps provides ma

ximum support to families through the provision of home programs, support for siblings and frequent consultation with parents and carers. All students engage in a full range of activities which are adjusted using a variety of autism friendly strategies. Giant Steps has had remarkable success teaching children on the autism spectrum to communicate more effectively, integrating them into mainstream schools, helping them develop functional life skills and providing them the opportunity to reach their potential. Giant Steps is open to students from all walks of life, is nondenominational and does not charge fees.

Last week’s Giant Steps Breakfast was nothing short of phenomenal, and it’s all thanks to our incredible community. The morning was filled with unforgettable moments, from an inspiring presentation by our OT team to a powerful speech delivered by Adult Services participant, Connor.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to GSM parent Renee Kyrou for sharing her moving family story, and to GSM sibling Cleo for her beautiful performance.

Finally, a giant thank you to everyone who joined us and helped raise a fantastic $35,000 (and counting!). Thank you for making Giant Steps Melbourne such a special place. 🙏✨
