Not surprising, but depressing...

Pauline Hanson has spent decades demonising Muslims with zero consequences, but put an anti-fascist poster on your bar wall and the ACT police come knocking.

Labor's first scalp under their hate speech laws isn't a hate group and that says everything.

Police have seized five posters on display in the window of a Canberra bar, declaring a "crime scene" while they investigate the artworks under new Commonwealth hate laws.

Criticising families of Australian ISIS fighters rings hollow, when not a word is said of the families of hundreds of Australians fighting in the IDF.

The PM says he has "nothing but contempt" for Australian women who travelled to Syria.

What won't the major parties do to desperately try to cling onto power?

Last election, the Independent Michelle Milthorpe came in second. She has nominated again.

A sobering look at how modern global finance was often built on foundations we rarely acknowledge.

In the 19th century, o***m was the most profitable commodity. It was a cornerstone of the global economy. While the human cost was devastating for China, the financial benefits were concentrated among a few specific entities.

While Palantir is busy poking its nose in everyone’s business, it doesn’t want us looking into its own, having failed to lodge audited financial statements.

Palantir has steadily expanded its footprint within the Australian security apparatus. It has received contracts with the Australian Signals Directorate, the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, and the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre.

Palantir cofounder Peter Thiel is mentioned extensively in the Epstein files, appearing 2,281 times according to reporting by Wired.

While Palantir is busy poking its nose in everyone’s business, it doesn’t want us looking into its own, not lodging financial statements.

Just saw a video of a coffee shop using AI to track how fast baristas work and how long customers hang out. It’s called the NeuroSpot Barista Staff Control and Customer Monitoring Video Analytics Module.

Kinda makes me uneasy thinking about cameras analyzing every move you make while you grab a latte. Productivity tracking for workers is one thing, but monitoring customers like lab rats feels… really creepy. Makes me wonder how much of our daily lives are quietly being turned into data.

Anyone else feel like this crosses a line?
