Just touching base. The Hub is back into researching the Kersbrook area after a break of a few months. If you’re interested in helping with research/documentation/or scanning and collating the collection please contact us via messenger. We were not successful with our grant application so the idea of a website had been shelved for the time being 😢

Thanks to Liz who managed to navigate the website and order the documents from storage (no easy feat 😂) we have been researching at the Records office. We are gathering documentation regarding the Kersbrook Primary School origins and the Wesleyan / Methodist/ Uniting Church.
Here is the signing off off the plans for the school house - by George Glover (son of Henry who Glover street is named for ) and a letter regarding funds to build it. Back in 1868 the community had to raise half the cost of a school building - times change!!!

A great big thank you to Pam Warner who in the process of moving house found some very old minute books . They have absolutely wonderful insights into Kersbrook in the early to mid 20th century- minutes from 1919 through till the late 1940s - names of people who’s families still reside here - information about their ideas and achievements BRILLIANT!!! Absolutely a researchers dream find ❤️❤️❤️ thank you Pam!!!
