🌿Event #269 – 13 June 2026🍁
What a beautiful morning to lace up the running shoes and enjoy the peaceful surrounds of KRP. With the winter sun shining and the community spirit alive, it was the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning and tick off another milestone on the parkrun journey.
We were thrilled to welcome 13 amazing legends today, including 3 first-time visitors to our wonderful hidden gem. Thank you for choosing to spend your Saturday morning with us, we hope you enjoyed the experience and will be back again soon.
A special thank you goes to our incredible volunteer team: Annette, Ron, Mel, Luke, Sheree, Amanda, Gail and Sue 💛 Your enthusiasm, encouragement and dedication are what make KRP such a welcoming and connected community.
As always, the parkrun tradition continued after the event with warm drinks, the smell of breakfast in the air, and plenty of great conversation shared among friends.
Here’s to doing it all again next week same place, same smiles, same magic✨ Because at KRP, every step tells a story, and this one begins with you.

🌿Event #267 – 30 May 2026
A wee bit cooler this morning as we jumped out of bed to kickstart the weekend with our favourite commitment, yep, you guessed it, parkrun!
While numbers were a little lower today, the spirit and enthusiasm of those who joined us were as strong as ever. Eight amazing legends ran, walked and chatted their way around our hidden gem of a course, a place that offers a real sense of grounding and connection with nature. Before long, the morning chill was just a distant memory.
A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers, who are the heart and foundation of our event. We appreciate each and every one of you - Ron, Annette, Amanda, Alannah, Sheree, Luke, Gail and Sue 💛

🍁Event #266 – 23 May 2026

Wow, the sunrise this morning was spectacular and set parkrun day off to a great start. While the weather conditions quickly changed to overcast with a slight breeze, it didn’t stop 17 amazing legends from lacing up their shoes to experience the quietness of the KRP track and the majestic beauty of the wetlands.

A big shout out to the 5 first time visitors to KRP, we hope you enjoyed our hidden gem and return again soon.

📣 Today belonged to two amazing people who call KRP home.
Firstly, let me introduce you to Gail, who has volunteered 100 times across 6 locations (mostly Kerang), with 11 distinct roles under her belt. Thank you, Gail, for your incredible contribution and dedication.
Next, we have Alannah, who notched up 50 run/walks today. From your very first parkrun, you’ve amazed yourself many times with your progress, and you’ve even travelled to other parkruns to experience their magic. Congratulations, Alannah, what an achievement! Thank you to Nan and Pop Farm for the amazing cookies to help celebrate.

Speaking of amazing people, during National Volunteer Week I would like to thank everyone who has volunteered at KRP. We simply can’t run these events without you and you are all so appreciated.

Today’s crew: Gail, Alannah, Amanda, Sheree, Helen, Ron, Annette & Sue 💛

As always, the post-brekky catch up is a wonderful time with like minded people, meeting new faces, sparking conversations about who knows what!! building great connections and supporting community.

KRP isn’t just a run it’s a feeling, a community, a little slice of Saturday morning magic ✨

Here’s to doing it all again next week. Same place, same smiles, same magic. Until then, take care and keep being your wonderful selves 💛
