Was started in 1977-78 with two students from TAFE
The Historical Homestead built in 1850 consisted of 7 rooms and was shared with the Historical Society who have since moved to larger premises

nings which included lots of fund raising the club expanded to include Spinners, Artists, Patchworkers, Woodturners and Children’s classes in Pottery. We run an Annual Exhibition for Club Members which is supported by the Gosnells City Council. This is usually held in November of each year. 10am to 4pm daily. The Gosnells City Council saw the need for the Club to have larger premises and so built a new Gallery and Pottery workshop the same as the original building, Rammed Earth. We are a non profit organisation run entirely with volunteers, we bring to the City of Gosnells and surrounding districts a community service which is unique in what we teach. The following classes are available Day & Evening
*Pottery * Patchwork * Woodturning * Drawing * Painting All media.
*Watercolour Painting * China Painting * Children’s Pottery * Soft Crafts*recycling and upcycling craft

Membership is available
Individuals $75
Families with one child $80. Additional Children $25 each
Age Pensioners $ 65
Children/ Student under 18 $40
Two Children $35 each. Three Children $30 each (please note children must be from the same family). We hold group social Days and all members are entitled to join, you get a news letter once every two months. You are encouraged to join any of the classes as long as their is a vacancy and use the facilities as long as their is not a class in session. .and members may sell any crafts they make in the shop or at our many Fair Days. The Homestead is open to Tourists who may watch the Groups at work any day of the week and also visit our Craft Shop which is open from
8 am to 2pm Monday to Thursday.

I thought I’d skip Easter and just jump straight in and make something christmassy.
I cut the tree shape and then put it into a small bowl to lift the edges to create a plate, then I added the decorations.

Here’s the finished bust from the workshop with Clay Sanctuary last year. Thanks Carolyn for all your workshops. They are great. This guy is not what I initially visualised but that’s art hey!! 😉😂

As we hit the silly season, we can reflect on some of those failed art projects and work out how to do it again with success. Arts and crafts certainly build resilience.
Be kind to yourself, and others, and never give up on that creative idea that may not have turned out well on the first attempt.
