2026 WA COMMUNITY GROWING CONFERENCE

Join us for a day of inspiration, practical learning and connection at the 2026 WA Community Growing Conference.

The day features inspiring presentations from Mel Logozzo, Bronwyn Chompff-Gliddon, and Peg Davies, along with a panel discussion on growing volunteer support and community engagement. We're also thrilled to welcome Josh Byrne as our special guest. In this post we profile one of our presenters, Peg Davies.

𝗣𝗲𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘀 has been talking rubbish for over 18 years and involved in community gardens and spaces for longer. She always tries to use resources close-by and preferably free. Peg will talk about experiences in several gardens and how to reduce costs, energy output and take advantage others discarded materials for the greater good. And someone will take home a bag of her delicious compost to try.

Presented by Community Gardens Australia in partnership with Grow It Local and Permaculture Australia, this exciting event will be held at The Wetlands Centre, Bibra Lake on Saturday 15 August, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

The full program can be found both here and on https://communitygarden.org.au/events/
