Kiddy House FDC is a licensed home-based child care service that is registered under Family Day Care Sydney Wide Scheme (Randwick). Here at Kiddy House FDC, we create a thoughtfully prepared environment to nurture a child's natural love of learning through individualised teaching, where beauty and function come together, providing children a clas
sroom that looks and feels like a home away from home. Closed on Public Holidays and 2 to 3 weeks over the Christmas and New Year holiday period (we will confirm dates closer to the time). We are able to extend our existing hours to support the needs of parents who require care for their child due to their work or study commitments. I am the mum of two children. I hold a MMI (Modern Montessori International) 2 ½ - 6 years qualification. I earned my Montessori teaching Diploma in 2007 in Singapore then completed my Cert III in Children’s Services in Australia in 2014. I have previous experience as a class directress at a Montessori Preschool in Malaysia and Singapore and worked as Assistant Teacher in Australia. With an extensive history of Montessori teaching (at school and home) spanning over 9 years, I love the sequential, explorative style of learning that this educational method provides. I like the idea of how the children learn all the materials and subject matter from the concrete to the abstract. In my teaching philosophy, I believe that the primary role of the teacher is to create an environment which fosters learning and independence in young children. Then, act as a link between the child and the environment; support the child by presenting materials and activities at the right time and offering help only when necessary. I also hold current Working with Children Checks, and up to date First Aid Certificate and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates.
