Kayak For Cancer

Kayak For Cancer In early 2023 I am going to Kayak the 600km South Australian leg of the Murray River to raise funds for the cancer council of SA They both died from cancer.

In early 2023 I am going to Kayak the 600km South Australian leg of the Murray River to raise funds for the cancer council of SA. I have distant memories of the passing of both my grandmothers. My Nanna (from my Dad’s side) died when I was quite young. I remember her baking and her smile. My Oma (From my Mom’s side) passed a bit later, I have more memories of her (I remember she was a tough woman)

but the clearest ones are at the end when she was sick. My Parents shielded me from most of it, but I remember the hospital and the sadness of it all. Fast forward to 2022. My Mom has recently finished her battle with breast cancer and Won. My dad has only just now come out of hospital and beaten Bladder Cancer. Thanks to developments over the last 30 years, I get to have my parents around, and my kids get to have their grandparents. They won’t have the same memories as me and My parents get to live a better life. So, I want to do my little bit to contribute to the ongoing development and research into battling Cancer. In February 2023 I will be Kayaking from the SA/VIC border to the Murray Mouth, about 600km of Paddling. To make it worth while I’m looking to go big and raise $10,000 for the Cancer Council and I hope you can help me get there
