Another sad day at Riverway as we head towards the end of an era. I am stepping back from rescuing and as I say goodbye to each of the babies Iβve raised or rescued, it is a reflection of the joyous sleep deprived time when we started this journey 13 years ago. Cinnamon had a rotated pedal bone and Delilah had multiple health issues, so both girls were helped across the Rainbow Bridge this morning, by the wonderful Emma from Kojonup Vet Clinic.
Charlie, Raine and Dom, are the last of the Ovines.
Let me tell you a funny anecdote about Cinnamon (Minny Min).
One evening whilst giving a friend a tour of the original Riverway Animal Protection Sanctuary in Northcliffe, I realised that all of the lambingtons needed to remain in the 2 acre paddock. As I ran to close the bottom gate, Minny ran straight through my legs toward the open gateway, leaving me straddled, facing backwards and heading down hill. There was no option other than to tuck and roll. Such was the character of my precious Min.
Rest easy beautiful girls and run free from pain with Nutmeg, Caramel Toffee and Pepper Benson.
