In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in supporting First Nations people transitioning from custody back into the community through culturally safe, trauma-informed care.

A big week with our strategic planning project. Some really important questions were asked- "what is Dhulawang about", "what are our core values" and what is our vision or "north star"? ⭐️

We have worked with CEOs and leads of a number of organisations including Durri ACMS, Aboriginal Employment Strategy - Kempsey, Burrun Dalai Aboriginal Corporation, Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service, Aboriginal Corporation to help us build a path forward.

With the support of community & our partners at Nous Group - we are very close to finalising our plan for the future. Watch this space! 👀

Marrungbu (thank you!) to our members and community who showed up for our Yarning Circle last Sunday. We really appreciate everyone sharing their thoughts and reflections on how to shape Dhulawang's future.

We face many challenges in our community, and taking the time to sit with you all and listen will help us direct our efforts where we can make the most impact. Also, a special shout out to our partners at Nous Group, who were there to support us on the day.

🚩 PUBLIC NOTICE 🚩

Dhulawang has received $2.6 million through the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations to deliver the Reconnection Employment and Learning Program (REAL Program).

The purpose of this program is to support First Nations people to rebuild their lives during and after incarceration at the Mid North Coast Correctional Centre (Kempsey) by providing personalised mentoring and support to reconnect with community, culture, employment, education, and services.

The REAL program is built as a second‑chance pathway and we are proud to be delivering this with our community partners.
