Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who came along last night to have an informal chat about the Christmas Festival. There were a lot of great ideas thrown around and some dynamic people to follow through. Thank you also to those of you who have put your hands up to take on the responsibility of each section of the festival - that is going to make things a lot easier to manage!
Keep your eyes open on Face Book as we will be putting up times and dates for when we will meet up again to start "Chrissying Up Keller"!
The offer is still open for anyone to put their hands up to take on jobs or to help with other tasks - just contact us and we will point you in the right direction!

Hi everyone, it's that time of year when we start thinking about this year's Christmas Festival. The Chrissy Up Keller team is in crisis....our team is getting smaller and we need some helpers.
If you like what we have been doing, or if you have some new ideas, please join us at the Historical Society Rooms in James St (The old Police Station) on 18th September at 7pm for an informal discussion.
Its up to us, as a community, to keep the Festival going!

Hello again, since we are going to be removing decorations in the next few days I need to remind you all to collect your memorial decorations from the Memorial Tree at the CRC.

Hi everyone! Firstly, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us out so far! Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and we need to start taking down our decorations. We need help from anyone who can spare a couple of hours,1 hour, 1/2 hr, whatever you can do on Sunday morning, 7th January from 7.30am.
We will be taking down the large tree, garlands on the street and the train station and the trees along the main street. If we get in early and get it done we can have it all done in a couple of hours and beat the heat!
Hope to see as many of you there as possible

Not the post that I wanted to put up today. Last night I was proudly telling Cassie and Dean that we had not had any damage to our street Christmas decorations this year..only to discover this morning that someone had taken one of our trees from in front of the Bakery and discarded it in Moore Street. To do this they have cut the cable ties, snapped the lights from the solar panel and then carried it away.... Is this another example of someone just wanting to destroy someone else's property? Well, sorry to tell you...the tree has been reinstalled, it is not quite as pretty as it was but the spirit of Christmas is still there. These Christmas decorations are owned by the community not one individual so you have really only destroyed something that you are a part of! If we find out who has done this we will name and shame.

Thank you to Cassie and Dean who helped me put it back up this morning.

Tonight is the last night Santa and friends will be down the main st. He needs to head home and start getting ready for the big day! Come on down to say Hi and wave Merry Christmas to the hardworking truckies!!
