We’re delighted to announce that our flagship annual competition, Photographer of the Year presented by Ted's Cameras, is now open for 2026 entries.

This year, entrants will compete for a prize pool totalling more than $21,000, including $10,000 in cash prizes, with a curated selection of winning and runner-up images to be exhibited at Ted’s World of Imaging in Sydney.

This post from Gary P Hayes Photography was taken at the beginning of January but with our storms today seems an apt one to share.

Gary will be presenting on Landscapes at our next meeting on Monday 16th February. This is in advance of our theme on Scapes later in the year.

If you are out photographing landscapes, you might also want to pay extra attention to the flora and fauna as our next exhibition night is ‘Open’ with the option to submit images for a set subject ‘Macro - Flora and Fauna’.

Interesting skies and weather conditions at the moment, and finally a lot of wet in the Upper Blue Mtns - but also looking forward to some real summer heat at the end of the week!
