Blue Mountains Creative Kitchen will be at Katoomba Neurodiversity Hub tomorrow morning (Saturday) from 1030 to 1230 for our community film project collaboration!

This is your opportunity to create a stop motion film series while enjoying the process of creativity. The team at Blue Mountains Creative Kitchen prioritise playfulness over perfectionism in creative process. 🎨 They encourage you to make bad art!! Because it doesn’t really matter what it looks like in the end….

More information is in the flyers.

Come along ! It’ll be fun ! 🤩

A little update on our tiny house project….

The living areas are finished and construction has begun an bedroom and bathroom. The garden is an ongoing project.

It has been beautiful to see the way this creative project has become an activity that the whole Hub community is invested in! People have been making furniture, animals, garden features, and more for it….

Creativity at Katoomba Neurodiversity Hub looks different every day. Sometimes themed around a joint project, sometimes one of ideas that motivate us to experiment.

In these pictures you can see cardboard brick constructions, learning about bees & wasps and their nests, types of beehives, and making beehives and bees, and a gorgeous mini little street library made at 1:12 size to go outside the mini house we’ve been working on.

Follow our page to receive updates on all the creative projects that happen here, and to keep in touch with what activities we are hosting.

You will notice most of what we do here has a focus on community through creativity. This is because we understand the neurobiological benefits of both. People who engage in regular creative activities and have healthy and supportive community need less therapy!

And we’d love you to join us.

Open studio is on Friday from 2-5pm and is a great way to experience the Hub and find out more about what we are doing.

We’ve started a new puzzle and not school today. It has 1000 pieces. Can you guess what the picture in the puzzle is?

We also discussed speculatively how we think puzzles were invented. What made somebody think that they would break a picture and package it up because other people might enjoy putting it back together?!
