Red bench project

You may have noticed a new red bench at Piesse Park. This meaningful addition is part of the Red Bench Project by the Red Rose Foundation Australia, which encourages communities to keep the issue of domestic and family violence visible.

The bench began as an idea from local boy Isaac D’Aprile, who wanted to bring the Red Bench Project home to Katanning. His school, Mazenod College WA - Moments of Grace, backed him with generous support, and Friends of Piesse Park helped with installation, with approval from Shire of Katanning.

We invite everyone to take a moment to reflect on the part we can all play in ending domestic and family violence. Together we can .
