Please drive carefully and to the conditions, and where present follow signage and direction emergency crews.

We have received reports that SA businesses have received phone calls asking them to purchase advertisements in a magazine that will support local SES volunteers.

The SA State Emergency Service does not cold call businesses or individuals to solicit donations and the SA State Emergency Service and its volunteers do not receive any support from any journals or magazines.

If you have received a call from someone selling advertising saying the advertisement will support your local SES, or a call from someone pretending to collect donations for the SES, report the call to Scam Watch www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam

Jake is a highly valued member of our unit, and a great example of how flexible volunteering can be.
Jake's role in SES has changed as life changed from one of the first South Australia SES members, to unit manager, to mentor and role model for others.

Today is first responders appreciation day. It is an opportunity for communities to recognise the work first responders do during emergencies, disasters and the support they provide the community.

We celebrated the day with Light Pass Primary School, who had several first responders visit, to show the kids our vehicles and equipment, while they took the opportunity to thanks us, and find out more about how we support our community.

Dont forget to thank a first responder in your community today.

One of the capabilities of State Emergency Service volunteers is Road Crash Rescue

SES Road Crash Rescue volunteers are trained and equipped to safely extricate and provide first aid to those involved in crashes and support other emergencies.

Volunteers work together to stabilise vehicles and safely extricate trapped or injured people using appropriate tools and techniques.

Thank you to our rescue volunteers for your skill, professionalism and dedication.

Try Volunteers in the Fog.🚨🙆‍♀️🙆🚨

Crews from Kapunda SES and Kapunda Country Fire Service had a nice early morning today with a large tree fallen and blocking a main road.

Working together crews cleared the road and open up access.
This is a timely reminder to always take care and drive to conditions, particularly where visibility is limited.
