Meet Sue!
Dr. Sue King-Smith is the managing editor at Innovative Resources and has a background in managing social work services for children and families, youth work, inclusion and advocacy support, working with First Nations Australians in education settings, online course creation, writing, lecturing, research, and community development.

Introducing our upcoming panellist Kain White!

Kain is a visual artist and teacher based in central Victoria working primarily in oil painting, pencil drawing, charcoal, and relief printmaking. With a lifelong passion for art, Kain creates expressive, detailed, and highly emotive artworks that are the perfect vehicle for Teacher Wellbeing Cards. Kain is currently working on our latest card set, Exploring Masculinity. With a strong background in art education for all ages, Kain also runs personalised art workshops and private art tutoring sessions.

Meet Michael Derby at our 'Meet Innovative Resources' event in Naarm/Melbourne on Thursday May 28th 6pm-8pm!

Michael Derby is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Clinical Family Therapist with more than 18 years of experience supporting children, young people, and families affected by trauma, including family violence and sexual abuse. He has deep expertise in working with adults who have caused harm and in addressing harmful sexual behaviors among young people.

Michael led the development and implementation of statewide training on sibling sexual abuse for Victoria’s Child Protection system and created the therapeutic resource Exploring Shame. He contributed to the Victorian Government’s Beaumaris Inquiry into historic childhood sexual abuse in schools and is the founder and director of Anchor Point Therapy, providing consulting, training, and therapeutic services.

In addition to his clinical and training work, Michael serves on the Ethics Panel of the Australian Association of Social Workers and on the Management Board of the Australian Association of Family Therapy, helping shape professional standards and practice reform across the sector.
