Section Leaders Conference at Pelican Point

The joeys learnt about the southern cross and how to tell south and north from it! Repurposed plastic bottle into a boiling pin, and they customised each design and then had a go at ten-ping boiling!

The joeys made caterpillars out of paper and little tree picture frames out of foliage. Then one of our joeys did a presentation about his whip and showed us how to crack it.

Today is about this place we share.
Western Australia is vast and varied. It holds stories that go back tens of thousands of years, alongside those that are still being written.
At Scouts WA, we see what makes this state what it is. Young people stepping up. Volunteers giving their time. Communities showing up for each other in quiet, steady ways.
WA Day is a chance to take stock of that. To think about where we live and what we contribute to it.
Wherever you are across WA today, we hope you find a moment to enjoy it.

We made dilly bags!! Dilly bags are used to hold cutlery, plates, bowls and cups!! The material is used to let the air through to dry them properly!! Then a scout was dragged in a box all the way outside!

Another amazing Scouting basics night, the youth already learned the half and rolling hitch, tonight the learned the Bowline and the Fig 8 and square lashing. Ending in starting a wash bowl bench made from staves.!!!
