Has everyone recovered from the Conference last week?

Did you enjoy the GEMG Workshop dinner at the race track? Maybe you joined in the favourite Kalgoorlie pastime—two-up? 🎲

Did you know that the money raised from two-up goes to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). This incredible organisation has saved countless lives—some of our favourite family, friends, and colleagues wouldn’t be here today without them.

Thanks to everyone who played along, the GEMG raised $4,820 for the RFDS. But wait—it gets better! Your committee matched that donation and rounded it up to $10,000.

And it gets even better still: May 15th was Flying Doctor Day, when every dollar donated is matched by some of Australia’s leading resources companies. That means, together, we raised $20,000 for the RFDS this year.

Now that’s something to be excited about!

Registrations for the KCGM Site tour will remain open until Friday 2 May.

The 2025 GEMG Conference Key Note Presentation will be given as a panel discussion and we need your help! The Panel will consist of:
- A. Parsons (Gold Fields VP Environmental Performance)
- M. Finlayson (Non-Executive Director Norther Star)
- Hon. C. Edwards AO (Non-Executive Chair West Gold)
- A. Wilkinson (Group Manager Environment Evolution)
Ever wondered what the mining executives consider the key environmental challenges to be? How important environmental and community aspects are to the big decisions?
The committee is looking for questions to pose during the panel discussion. Due to time constraints questions will not be taken from the audience so please submit via the below form no later than Monday 31 March 2025.

Leave the question(s) you would like asked to the Mining Executive below. The Panelists will be announced shortly but are all associated with a Goldfields mining company. 🌱 Super Pit Mine Tour - 6 May 2025
Join the Northern Star Enviros for a FREE* Guided Tour of the Fimiston Open Pit Mine (The Superpit) 3 - 4 pm. Take a charter bus from the Goldfields Art Centre and arrive back just in time for the Welcome Function. Online registrations available through Member Jungle.
*Limited to 48 people. Must be a GEMG member to register.
