no.7, and its a bitter sweet one 😭

If you didnt already know, it's her final few months with EGLAC, and we're celebrating the work ethic that brought us Amber the club gem ❤️

This brilliant but humble young woman is the creme dela creme of female role models. Her unfallible focus and hard at it work ethic means Amber is no stranger to the State & National stage. If you dont know her by name, you'll know her as the kid putting in endless laps of (really fast) intervals down at the track (even when theres no track).

Over the last 3 seasons, Amber has qualified for SEVEN State teams, has 3 current club records and has her very own hall of fame {figuratively speaking} full of medals & accolades so heavy the gyprock is surely crumbling away.

Did you catch her reppin EGLAC on the radio!?

Meet Maraya our local athlete no.2!

Maraya started little athletics in 2017 as an U6 and her main event focus are the throws. With a dedicated support system from her mum, her big sister and her Hammer coach Sarah (from Sprinting Fast based in Perth), Maraya heads into the 2026/27 season on the back a massive international tour in Malaysia.

On tour Maraya brought home Bronze in both 16U & 21U Discus events, and 5th in 16U shotput sporting a massive PB.

With a total of 16 PB’s, Maraya continued to build on her early country champs success to hit some massive wins in 2026......
