Netherlands’ prime minister Rob Jetten has warned about the “well-organised” enemy that is pushing an anti-LGBTQ+ agenda.

In an interview with Attitude, Jetten, who is the first out gay prime minister of the Netherlands, said that the public needs to reject the harmful messages that are being spread.

“We shouldn’t be naive about the very well-organised agenda that is coming from a lot of extreme groups,” he said.

He went on to say, “People should realise that attacks on trans people are just the first step. The second is to attack basic rights for women. And the next is to attack basic rights for gay people. And the next is to attack basic rights for Black people. This is an agenda that we should stop and we should fight back.”

When a tabloid outed Dolly Parton’s limo driver as trans, she refused to fire him. Instead, she kept him by her side for more than 30 years.

Jason Pirro was 44 years old and working as Dolly’s Hollywood chauffeur and assistant when the tabloid Star ran its July 10, 1990 cover: "S*x change shocker in Dolly's limo."

Under it was another line: "Her driver is a man who used to be a woman."

Pirro talked to the tabloid anyway.

"Dolly has been good to me," he said. "I'm not real comfortable talking about myself. Dolly knows all about me and is a very nice lady."

He said whenever Dolly came to Hollywood for meetings, business, filming, or just to stay there, she called him to drive her around.

A family friend told the tabloid that Pirro taught transcendental meditation and "has never had an enemy." Pirro said Dolly was trying to help him reach his dream of directing movies.

Dolly did not let him go.

In her 1994 memoir, she listed Jason Pirro by name in her special thanks.

Asked in that same book what she thought of drag queens and people who transition, Dolly answered: "Well, I've always said that if I hadn't been a woman, I would have been a drag queen."

Then she added: "All I know about sex-change operations I've learned from my good friend Jason."

He was still there decades later.

Dolly thanked him in the liner notes of her 2016 album Pure & Simple for his "time, love, and attention to details."

The part almost didn't exist the way we know it.

Richard O'Brien first wrote Frank-N-Furter as a German scientist in a lab coat — it was Curry who helped rebuild him into the creature in the corset who spoke like the Queen, originating the role in a tiny room above London's Royal Court Theatre before carrying it to Broadway and the 1975 film.

The movie flopped.

Then the midnight crowds found it, dressed as him, threw the toast, did the Time Warp — and never stopped.

Fifty-one years later it's still playing, a weekly ritual that gave generations of people the same message from the man in the fishnets: come in, sit down, you're home.

And he was never just Frank.

He was Wadsworth in Clue, Pennywise in It, Darkness in Legend, Miss Hannigan's rat of a brother in Annie, the concierge chasing Kevin through the Plaza.

After a stroke in 2012 took his ability to walk, he kept right on working — voice roles, conventions, and a 50th-anniversary celebration of Rocky Horror just last year, still meeting the fans who'd found themselves in his shadow.

Losing him right after Dolly is almost too cruel.

Two people who spent fifty years telling the odd ones out that they were exactly right as they were.

The midnight movie never ended. Neither will his legacy.
