Just a reminder that we are holding an Italian Night at the hall on Saturday, the 8th August. Time to start thinking pasta, pizzas, meat balls, gnocchi, or surprise us! I’m bringing sourdough focaccia with olives, tomatoes and truffle cheese. Hope to see you there! Oh, and maybe some red wine too. 🙃

Curry night was well attended tonight with so many delicious varieties of home made curries. We were also spoilt with Lorraine’s wonderful homemade vanilla slices, yum! Good food and good company, always a bonus.

Just a reminder about the two dry firewood raffles this Saturday at the curry night. There will be one draw for the current 2026/27 paid up members (from 1st July 26) and another draw for attendees at the curry night.

Time to get out the recipe books or use your all time favourite curry recipe, because it’s time for another Curry Night! Saturday 18th July, 4.30 onwards. Attached is a photo of our last curry night feast, which was delicious and a lot of fun. We will also be drawing two winners for a load of dry cut jarrah fire wood. To win all you need to do is attend the curry night and or become a financial member of the Kalgan Settlers association.

The big Oshkosh fire truck when it arrived recently, courtesy of Black Cat Syndicate Ltd and Campbell Transport who took on the big job of transportation, the Kalgan Settlers Community thank you both for such generosity. Lots of effort put in by the boys to pull it off and fit it into the shed. Don brought his tractor over to do the really heavy work. The boys have been getting their hands dirty working out why the truck broke down 15 odd years ago and gradually getting to know how she works.
