Thanks to everyone who came out for our last parkrun at Jakes Point, especially all those that made the trip to Kalbarri just for it.

We’ve loved talking to everyone who has joined us over the past 3 years on their travels, to the few locals that made it as often as they could.

We will miss our early mornings watching the wave, whales, dolphins and runners.

Unfortunately the time has come!!
Saturday the 10th October will be our last parkrun 🥲

It’s been a lot of fun socializing with our tourists and meeting new people but with the lack of additional volunteers we’re calling it a day.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the parkrun and joined us for a Saturday morning. If anyone else is interested in taking over the parkrun just let me know.

I know Saturday mornings are busy, but honestly, Jakes Point parkrun is such a good way to start the weekend.

It’s free, it’s friendly, and you don’t have to be a runner. You can walk, jog, bring the kids, come with a mate, or just turn up on your own and meet a few people.

We’re really lucky to have parkrun here in Kalbarri, but it only works if people use it. So if you’ve been meaning to come along, this is your sign.

Come down this Saturday and give it a go. No pressure, no judgement — just 5km at your own pace with a bunch of locals.
