Thank you for this wonderful gesture.
I promise I am trying to work out some way of bringing the pantry back somehow in the future.
I’ll keep this page going for everyone to use to share anything they may have to share (once I can work out how to allow posts!)
Thank you all once again for your support over the years. We came together as a community and I really do hope we can do it again. 🌿💚

Hi wonderful supporters and followers. I have some sad news. We will be closing down the Community Pantry over the next few weeks. I really do appreciate all of your support, but the last few months has been a struggle. I’ve had issues with vandals, complaints about rubbish being left and people just using us as the local rubbish dump.
We’ve had extremely limited donations in the past six months, which I do completely understand, but the donations that have been left have mainly been items that cannot be used…every time I posted I asked for unopened in date food, and the below photos show just a sample of what has been left lately. Half used spices with a use by date of 2006 😡
Once again, I thank everyone for your support over the years, and I’m so sorry that my dream has come to this sad ending. 🌿💚

We’ve had a wonderful few donations the last couple of days.
We have some peaches and nectarines, some green capsicums, some cherry tomatoes and some butternut pumpkin plants!
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated something.
We’re still looking out for any pantry items (in date and unopened) and toiletries items.
Don’t forget to come and have a browse through our book cabinet too!
Keep cool everyone..and good luck to all the parents with children heading off to school and kindy this week!

I’ve just put some of the LiteNEasy meals in the esky. There are fresh ice packs in there to keep them cold. Hopefully they stay frozen for you.
There is also some silverbeet and some other fresh fruit and vegetables in the esky and some cuppa soups in the cabinet.
There’s still heaps of books to browse through!
I’ll put some more in tomorrow evening.
Thanks everyone for your generous donations 🌿💚

Hi all! We hope everyone had a restful Christmas and that so far 2025 has been good to you all.

We’ve had a few donations recently of items that I’ve simply had to throw in the bin..underwear, broken kitchen items and bits and pieces that are obviously not going to be of any use. Can you please refrain from leaving anything other than food/toiletries for a while so we can get the pantry back up and running and help out those in need.

We have a regular donation of bread, which goes into the esky with ice packs, we’ve also got some fresh eggplant and squash. In the smaller cabinet there are some toiletries, some pantry items and a wonderful donation this morning of bags of cookies and various lollies. Yum! These lovely ladies also donated a large bag of frozen meals, mainly LiteNEasy. I’ll be putting these out only a couple at a time in the esky with the ice packs, as they will need to stay frozen. I’ll let you know when I put some out 😁

Now to some housekeeping notes 😉
I’m still having an issue with some people who don’t have any respect with what we’re trying to do here. Books from the book cabinet thrown over the road, food thrown around and the cabinets left in a mess. I have recently had an official complaint about the mess, so if I could just have a little help from you all to keep the area looking reasonably neat, we can keep this venture up and running. There are bins out front that you are welcome to use. As mentioned, please don’t leave anything apart from food in the esky/cabinet for the time being, until I can work out a bigger/neater solution to the area. The book swap cabinet is currently overflowing so feel free to browse through those and take what you like!

Thank you all for your wonderful support throughout last year, let’s hope this year brings much happiness 🌿💚

I’ve just put out 3 x QS quilt covers, and a set of QS sheets (green) on the sofa under the verandah.
All in great condition, with pillowcases. We’ve just changed to KS.

EDIT: BOTH PLANTS ARE GONE. THANK YOU! 🪴💚
I’ve just put a couple of Montera plants out the front. They are growing really well and don’t take hardly any care, but my dogs have decided to start chewing the leaves, which is not good for them.
First in can take them away 😊🍀🪴

Hi to all our wonderful followers!

I’ve just done a bit of a clean up and a swap around in the cabinets.
We haven’t had many pantry donations left lately, which is understandable given the tough times we are in, thank you to everyone who has donated something! I have put the food donations into the smaller cabinet until we start getting some more.
And the books have now gone into the larger cabinet, as we have an abundance of reading material for people to browse and take! 📚
Don’t forget us when you do a pantry clean out, but remember to only leave unopened, in date items! 🥫🧃
We love toiletries as well, and small household items. 🪥🧼
And, of course, your excess fruit and vegetables from your garden are always welcome and extremely popular! 🍎🍊🍑🥦🧅

Thanks again to everyone for your generous donations and wonderful support over the past couple of years. Don’t forget to share us! 🌿💚
