Thanks everyone for your kind offers - it looks like we're all sorted now - cheers! 😁

Hi Jurien Community! Marine Rescue Jurien Bay need to borrow a WORKING landline phone for a day or two to check whether our existing phone is faulty - or if it's the line that's faulty⁉️

Our current phone (on our secondary line) works intermittently, so it's hard to know which is at fault?🤔

Unfortunately, none of our members have landline phones anymore, so before we go to the expense of buying a new phone, we were hoping to first try the line with a phone that works.

If you can help us out, please phone the tower on 96521950, or send us a message. Thanks everyone - hope 🙏 someone can help! 🙏😁🙏

Photo for reference only - can be any type of landline - cheers! 😊

Today we hosted the Emergency Services Cadet Corps showing them through our facilities including our Tower and two rescue vessels. 25 Cadets from all corners of the state were given a run through of our operation and had the opportunity to to obtain first hand experience of the running of a rescue vessel and the associated equipment. We even threw in a little locate the training Epirb exercise to keep the cadets engaged. Thanks to Graham, Kym, Valerie and Chris for helping facilitate the visit.
Once the cadets rolled out the door Kym, Scott and Chris refuelled Ocean Watch in preparation for tomorrow's multi agency emergency management exercise. Who knows what will be thrown our way...

We are thrilled to welcome our rescue vessel, Ocean Watch (R1), back home following major refurbishments in Geraldton!

Keeping our vessels rescue-ready takes a massive team effort behind the scenes. A huge thank you to:

Our dedicated volunteers for countless hours spent planning repairs, organizing logistics, and coordinating crew travel.

The expert team at Dongara Marine for their meticulous, efficient work ensuring her swift return.

Mid West DFES for their invaluable funding support to get her back on the water.

We are so proud of this community collaboration and glad to have Ocean Watch back in service and ready to protect our waters!
