👏 Celebrating an incredible volunteer – Richard Malek!

Richard has been a dedicated St John WA volunteer since 2022, contributing nearly 2,000 hours to the Jurien Bay Community Transport Service.

He’s known for mentoring new drivers, supporting his team, and always putting clients first. From introducing practical improvements like vehicle access steps, to helping maintain the fleet and serving on the committee — Richard goes above and beyond every day.

Even more impressive, he actively promotes volunteering in the community, helping build a strong and supportive team in Jurien Bay.

💛 Thank you Richard for your leadership, commitment, and the difference you make!

Three volunteers. Three sub-centres. 1,103 stairs.

Jurien Bay, Bullsbrook and Pinjarra climbed Central Park tower as a team for the annual MSWA Step Up event. Climbing alongside St John WA staff, volunteers, emergency services crews, and community members from across WA. All in support of a great cause!

There were plenty of laughs, a fair few “what was I thinking?” moments and lots of encouragement.

Today we came together in Jurien Bay to honour and remember the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served our country.

Our volunteers were proud to stand alongside our community for the Anzac Day commemorations, paying our respects to those who gave so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Lest we forget.
