The theme for this year’s WA Government 16 Days in WA campaign is “Stopping Family and Domestic Violence: Play your part.”

This will run from 25 November to 10 December and for their part, Jurien Bay CWA will be hosting two events at the CWA Hall on 24 November. More details to follow via Facebook, Craytales and posters around town.

In the meantime, we are furiously sewing, knitting and crocheting orange bunting and strips to yarn bomb Pioneer Park with the aim of starting conversations and you are more than welcome to join in. Another suggestion was that people might have floats laying around that could be painted orange.

We will be hanging these on the morning of 23 November.

Home and Garden Day
Huge thanks to our CWA neighbours that joined us for the H&G Day last Wednesday: Badgingarra, Moora, Cervantes, Lancelin, Joondalup and Koorunga.

The entries formed a wonderful display of hours of hard work and skill across an array of categories: Photography, Flower Arrangements, Garden Produce, Preserves, Cooking, Crafts, and Display Congratulations to the category winners and the overall winner - Koorunga.

Thanks also to the judges and community friends.

It was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and share ideas.

We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did

Thank you everyone that joined us for Gemma Morcombe’s informative and important presentation on Women’s Pelvic Health yesterday. 43 attendees! And of course thanks to Gemma for her time and expertise.

As Deb said at the end of the presentation, we would love to do something like this again in the new year. So please let us know what topics might be of interest. We can’t promise anything, but will certainly try.
