The Members for Bendigo East and West, Jacinta Allan and Maree Edwards, attended Indian and Islamic and celebrations in Bendigo today.

The event, hosted by the Bendigo Malayalee Association at the Strathdale Community Centre, brought together locals to mark both Vishu and Eid al-Fitr.

Vishu is a Hindu festival celebrated by people in India, marking the Malayalam New Year, while Eid al-Fitr is an Islamic celebration signalling the end of Ramadan.
