Grafton parkrun Grafton parkrun is a FREE, timed 5km run/walk put on by the community, for the community at 7am every Saturday morning in Grafton, NSW.

Grafton parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7:00am in Junction Hill, NSW, Australia. Grafton parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walkers. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, from juniors 5 years or older to those with decades of experience. All runners receive encouragement and enjoy being part of a community event open to all standards. Equally, our volunteer teams come from a huge variety of backgrounds and we urge everybody to get involved in organising their local events at least 3 times per year.

We have a few jumpers in our lost property at the moment. Please have a look next week and take them if they are yours, otherwise we will need to donate them.

Also remember to register for the Jacaranda Fun Run which is coming up very soon. We are also looking for some volunteers especially to marshal. If you are able to help out or have any questions please talk to one of our run directors or Nick Buckler who will be able to answer any questions you may have.

Grafton parkrun #500!!

What a wonderful morning celebrating our 500th Grafton parkrun event. The atmosphere was full of excitement & celebration before the event, and this carried through to after the event with the crowd hanging around to enjoy the goodies on offer along with some great conversations and fun.

This week 200 people ran, jogged & walked the parkrun course. This is a new attendance record for Grafton, smashing our previous record of 168 from event #19 on 13/2/16.
Numbers were boosted by friends & visitors from Yamba parkrun, Coffs Harbour, Sydney, Mudgee, Armidale, Brisbane and possibly more that I missed.

We had 35 people who were first timers at Grafton, with 16 of them doing their first parkrun ever! Welcome and we hope to see you again soon.

Amongst all the excitement 39 people achieved a new personal best. Well done to you all! Names and times are listed on the image below.

Like most weeks, yesterday was once again an unbelievable showing of the truly wonderful community spirit we have at Grafton parkrun. It was an immense joy to be a part of and I am continuously grateful for everyone who pitches in and helps out to make everything run smoothly. A big thanks to our dedicated team of Run Directors who do most of the heavy lifting week to week.

Well that's it for this week. Hope you all have a relaxing long weekend & a great week. Hope to see you next time at parkrun. (Did someone say 11th birthday soon?? - maybe it will just be a quiet one)
