Thank you to Henderson Alliance for welcoming Working Spirit to our first Network & Learn event last Wednesday.

Held in the Wally Edwards Function Room at the WACA, the venue provided a fantastic setting for bringing WA’s Defence industry together.

Henderson Alliance plays an important role in strengthening connections and capability across Western Australia’s Defence industry and advanced manufacturing sectors, creating opportunities for SMEs and industry partners to connect, collaborate and build relationships.

Our CEO, Karyn Hinder, was pleased to be one of the evening’s speakers, sharing more about Working Spirit and how we connect veterans, veteran families and emergency services personnel with employers and meaningful employment opportunities.

It was fantastic to meet so many organisations from across WA’s Defence industry, introduce Working Spirit to the Henderson Alliance network and hear more about the work and opportunities developing across the sector.

A special thank you to Deanne Poole and Andrew Neaves from Henderson Alliance for their ongoing support of Working Spirit, and to the Henderson Alliance team for the warm welcome and a great evening.

We look forward to continuing to build our relationship with Henderson Alliance and its network.

We are seeing fantastic momentum on the Transition Employment Portal (TEP), with more employers actively engaging with veteran, veteran family member and emergency services candidates and many of those connections progressing to interviews and recruitment.

While not every connection leads to an immediate employment outcome, every conversation creates an opportunity and brings employers and candidates one step closer to finding the right fit.

It is encouraging to see employers recognising the valuable skills, experience and leadership our service community brings to the workforce.

To the employers engaging with candidates through the TEP, thank you for your commitment to supporting those who have served and for helping create meaningful career opportunities.

To our veterans, veteran family members and emergency services personnel, make sure your TEP profile is complete and up to date. Organisations are actively searching for candidates and new opportunities continue to emerge.

We look forward to sharing more success stories as these connections turn into employment outcomes.

If your organisation is looking to connect with talented members of the service community or if you are eligible to register on the TEP, we would love to hear from you.
