What an incredible three days at Land Forces 2026!

It has been a busy few days for the Working Spirit team, catching up with many of our wonderful supporters, reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new businesses and making plenty of new connections along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, caught up with us, introduced us to people in their networks, brought businesses over to meet us or simply came to say hello. We are incredibly grateful for the support Working Spirit continues to receive.

A special thank you to AMDA for the tremendous support before and throughout Land Forces and the Veterans Connection Program, to Castledex for once again generously providing the furniture for our stand, and to WA Defence Review for their continued support and for capturing some great moments at our stand.

And thank you to all the businesses, organisations and individuals who continue to support what we do. Whether you made an introduction, shared our work with someone new or opened the door to another conversation, it all makes a difference.

Land Forces may be over, but the conversations certainly aren’t! We have plenty of new connections to follow up, relationships to continue building and opportunities to explore.

The setup has begun!

We’re at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre today getting ready for Land Forces 2026, opening tomorrow.

From 6–8 October, the Working Spirit team will be onsite connecting with veterans and ADF members, as well as employers and organisations interested in engaging with the service community.

If you’re attending Land Forces, come and see us at Stand L3-M16. Whether you’re exploring what comes next in your career, looking to make industry connections, or an employer interested in connecting with veteran talent, we’d love to have a chat.

Thank you Hannah Beazley MLA for taking the time to meet with us and learn more about Working Spirit and the employment support we provide to veterans, Defence families and emergency services personnel.

We appreciated the opportunity to discuss our work, the challenges facing a small charity such as ours, and how we can continue creating stronger employment connections for the service community.

It was great to catch up with Karen Ormesher and founder Karyn Hinder (not in photo) to discuss how Working Spirit supports those who have served and their families to connect with post-service career opportunities.
