Safely Dispose of Expired Marine Flares.
Round 1 of the Expired Marine Flare Collection Program 2026/27 will be delivered from 6 to 22 November 2026 at key boating locations across NSW. The program provides a safe, simple, and environmentally responsible way for boaters to dispose of expired or unwanted marine flares free of charge.
Check it. Replace it. Dispose of it safely!
Check the expiry date printed on your marine flares and replace any that have expired.
Bring expired or unwanted flares to a designated collection site during the program period.
We recommend checking the collection schedule on our website before attending to confirm event times and locations.
Flares cannot be wet or damaged when handing them in at collection points.
