📣Needed : Jindy Pride Group Facilitator
Location: Snowy Monaro Regional Community�Role Type: Volunteer / Community Leadership Role
I am seeking a passionate and community-minded individual to facilitate a local Pride group for LGBTQIA+ people and their allies in our rural community.
This role is ideal for someone who believes in the importance of visibility, inclusion, and connection, and who is motivated to help create and sustain a safe, welcoming space for diverse identities to come together.
About the Role
The Jindy Pride Group Facilitator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining an inclusive group that supports LGBTQIA+ people and allies. The role focuses on building community connection, encouraging participation, and promoting positive visibility within a rural setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and facilitate inclusive group activities and gatherings
* Foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all members
* Support visibility and engagement of the Pride group within the wider community
* Promote the group and its activities through social media and other channels
* Build strong connections with community members, allies, and local networks
About You
You are someone who:
* Has a strong sense of community and inclusivity
* Is passionate about LGBTQIA+ visibility and advocacy- required when applying for grant funding .
* Has good communication and social media promotional skills
* Is reliable, approachable, and committed to creating safe spaces
* Understands the unique strengths and challenges of rural communities
* Lived experience within the LGBTQIA+ community is valued.
