Sutherland Shire Family Services (SSFS) is a grass-roots, not for profit community organisation that provides a broad range of support services to children, young people and families in the Sutherland Shire & St.George areas. The heart of our mission is to strengthen family relationships and community connections, and to keep the children of the Sutherland Shire safe. SSFS provides a range of pare
nting and support programs that aim to reduce poverty and disadvantage and use practical approaches that recognise the impact of trauma, violence and abuse on child well-being. Through the range of support programs, Sutherland Shire Family Services provide a safe haven for families - whether they come to us overwhelmed with family life, financial hardship, or trauma through domestic violence, Sutherland Shire Family Services acknowledge, respect, listen, believe and support. Respectful Social Media Engagement Policy & Commenting Standards
We encourage members to become interactive with our content such as commenting and would like to see more of it with freedom of speech most welcome on our page, but the following will not be tolerated:-
• Violence/Threats - We will remove content that may be regarded as a risk of physical harm towards others and public safety. This includes threatening others or organising acts of real violence. It will not be condoned whatsoever. Any posts of this nature will be referred to local law enforcement
• Bullying/Harassment - Bullying or harassment towards others will not be tolerated. Members are free to speak on the latest issues such as incidents at hand but action will be taken if directed at members and local individuals. Targeting individuals is a form of harassment.
• Hate Speech - Hate speech is not tolerated. While we encourage members to have constructive discussions between one another, involving hate speech based on their religion, s*x, gender, race, ethnicity, s*xual orientation, disability or medical is NOT condoned. Members are advised to discuss the topic at hand with constructive responses. Bring your point of view in a positive manner.
