A HUGE THANK YOU FROM THE MAHBILIL FESTIVAL ORGANISERS 🧡
What an incredible weekend! The Mahbilil Festival is officially back, and we could not be more thrilled with the response from our community and everyone who travelled to join us in Jabiru.
Across the two-day event, we welcomed an estimated 2,000 people, with around 700 people joining us for our main Saturday night celebrations. It was fantastic to see such a big, happy and well-behaved crowd coming together to celebrate culture, community, music and everything that makes this place so special.

Our cultural workshops were an absolute hit, and seeing people of all ages getting involved, learning, sharing and celebrating together was one of the highlights of the weekend.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors:
DAC Civil • Mbung Mburrum • Northern Territory Government • Kakadu Tourism • Red Lily Health • Kaddum • Blue Ridge Engineering • Ranger Rehabilitation • KWAST • Jabiru Property Services • Cooinda Lodge • Kakadu Crocodile Hotel • Kakadu Lodge • West Arnhem Regional Council

A massive thank you also goes to every single volunteer who gave their time, energy and hands to help bring Mahbilil together. Events like this simply cannot happen without people willing to jump in and help.

A very special thank you to Caron, Marrawuddi Gallery Manager, whose enormous contribution helped make this event possible, and to Kelsey Wilson from Untamed Projects, whose planning, coordination and hard work helped make Mahbilil happen.

To our artists, performers, workshop facilitators, stallholders, suppliers, community organisations and everyone who attended — thank you for being part of Mahbilil.

After such an incredible response, we're already excited about what comes next.
We look forward to bringing Mahbilil Festival back in 2027 — bigger, stronger and continuing to celebrate the culture and community at the heart of this special event.

🧡 Mahbilil Festival 2027 — watch this space!
