We had a very special meeting this week!
🎉🎉We got the opportunity to celebrate two very special members of the Ipswich Toastmasters Club, Bill and Marianne. Bill and Marianne celebrate 40 and 30 years as members of the Ipswich Toastmasters Club! Our longest standing members, Bill being "almost" (in his own words) one of the charter members of our club. Their contributions and dedication to the club are certainly worth celebrating and the continued thriving of our club is a testament to their legacy as Toastmasters. So, once again, a big thank you to Bill and Marianne for all you have done for the club and congratulations for these major milestones in your Toastmasters journey.
And a special thank you to Area Director, Jake, for visiting our club and honouring Bill and Marianne. It's always a fun time whenever you join us.
😎🕑This week's theme was "Back to the Future" to commemorate Back to the Future Day on the 21st October - the date that Marty McFly and Dr. Brown went to at the beginning of Back to the Future Part 2.
Our toastmaster for the evening was Shawn Pang who kept things moving along.
🛗📢Fred Fouad presented an educational on elevator pitches with plenty of audience participation to keep us engaged!
Kerri Richards kept all of ous on our feet with very time travel themed warm up and table topics.
All in all, it was a great meeting and it was truly serendipity (word of the day thanks to Linda Thomson) that on Back to the Future Day, we got to celebrate our past, revel in our present, and look forward to the future of our club.
Guests are always welcome! Come for a couple of meetings and get a taste of what Toastmasters is all about. If you are interested in visiting our club and experiencing one of our meetings yourself, leave a comment or drop us a DM and we'll set things up!
