CODI In the early years CODI was able to provide assistance (either financial or material) for people who were frail, aged, disabled and transport disadvantaged.

CODI was formed in 1981 during the "Year of the Disabled" with support from the Ipswich City Rotary Club, namely Mr Max Webb and Father John Dobson (President - Ipswich City Rotary Club). However, anyone requiring non-urgent medical transport is eligible to travel with CODI. CODI provided assistance with modification to homes by building water lifts and ramps. CODI instigated and established wheel

chair access under the CEP Programme to street corners in the City of Ipswich. CODI purchased a wheelchair for customers to use at Target (Booval) along and other smaller nursing home purchases. These are only some of the many projects undertaken by previous voluntary committees. More recently, providing a transport service has become our main objective.
