🌟 Proud Moment for us here at Regional Energy Transition Collaborative and Regional Development Australia Ipswich & West Moreton Inc! 🌟
On Tuesday, our CEO Rees Banks joined expert consultant Ashley Bland from Constructive Energy to present the findings of the Regional Energy Transition Collaborative at the Smart Energy Solutions Conference in Brisbane.
The conference, officially opened by the Hon Murray Watt, Senator for Queensland and the Hon Steven Miles, set the scene for critical conversations about Australia’s energy future.
Guided by the vision to “keep energy local,” our project explored how communities can generate and share power within their own distribution networks. With support from CS Energy and the Department of State Development, the research identified three scalable models—small, medium, and large for future exploration.
The findings show that new approaches to energy sharing could deliver real benefits for households, networks, and local communities, but success will depend on strong collaboration and coordination.
This achievement reflects the power of partnership and innovation, and we are proud to play a role in shaping Queensland’s clean energy future. ⚡🌱
