An incredible day at the V&A Storehouse East last week. We will post more about it soon, but just to let you know, the dolls houses have been unpacked & are filling up the shelves.

This much loved childrens dollhouse was donated to us some time ago, thank you Damaris, and we are finally giving it a renovation. Watch this space for updates.

Alan makes these from scratch. This is a kit but uses many of Alan's techniques. Very interesting to watch.

Wow! We were lucky enough to see their final dress rehearsal. It is an an incredible emotional rollercoaster of a show. There are a few tickets left to this heartwarming production that runs this weekend and next. Highly recommend 👌

Tonight, we say a heartfelt thank you to Alan as he begins his semi-retirement from Ipswich Mini Crafters.

Alan founded our group back in 1990, shortly after the success of his display of horse-drawn vehicles at Expo 88 in Brisbane. With a background in carpentry and a talent for working across a wide range of craft mediums, he has been an invaluable member of our club ever since.

We will deeply miss his weekly mentorship, steady guidance, and unmatched knowledge in all things scale model. At the incredible age of 98, who could blame him for stepping back a little?

On behalf of all of us — both current and past members — thank you, Alan.

We love your work, and your legacy will always be part of the club.
