Dear rangatahi, here is a message from your kaiako. "Kia ū ki te pae tawhiti, kia mau ki te pae tata — Hold fast to your dreams, and honour the journey that gets you there.”

"Tonight my heart is overflowing with pride. As a Kapa Haka Tutor, seeing our Rangatahi stand together and perform after all the hard mahi, dedication, and time they have put in means so much. Over the past couple of weeks, they have walked into my home, shared laughs, learned together, practised, supported one another, and created friendships and bonds that go beyond the stage. It makes me so happy and proud knowing they feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed in a space where they can be themselves.
Watching each of you grow not only in your performance, but in your confidence, mana, whanaungatanga, and love for Kapa Haka has been a beautiful journey to witness. Every practice, every challenge, every moment of mahi has shaped you into the strong Rangatahi you are today.
A special thank you to Karakan for allowing our Rangatahi the opportunity to be part of your event and giving them a space to share their mahi, their passion, and their culture. These experiences are so important in helping our young people grow, connect, and feel proud of who they are and what they represent.
Never forget the power you carry, the whakapapa you represent, and the pride you bring when you stand together as one. Keep shining, keep growing, and always be proud of how far you have come.

Dear rangatahi, here is a message from your kaiako. "Over the past few weeks, I have had the absolute privilege of watching our tamariki pour their hearts and souls into their kapa haka journey. Every practice, every waiata, every haka, and every challenge has been met with determination, resilience, and a willingness to learn. The hard mahi these young performers have put in has been nothing short of incredible. As a tutor, my heart is filled with pride as I witness not only their growth in kapa haka but also the growth of their confidence, courage, and belief in themselves. Seeing shy faces become strong voices, watching nervous tamariki stand tall with mana, and witnessing the bonds of whanaungatanga strengthen with every rehearsal has been truly special. Kapa haka is so much more than performance—it is a celebration of who we are, where we come from, and the strength that lives within each of us. To our beautiful rangatahi, never forget that your tūpuna stand proudly behind you, your culture is your strength, and your voice deserves to be heard. Thank you for your commitment, your passion, and the aroha you bring every single day. You have made your whānau, your friends, and this tutor incredibly proud. What an incredible night for our Rangatahi at the Wayfinder Premiere in Logan! 🌟

Our rangatahi represented our kaupapa with pride, passion, and professionalism, showcasing their hard work, dedication, and talent on a special stage. Seeing our young people stand confidently together and share their culture was a proud moment for everyone involved.

We are extremely proud of each and every performer who gave their all and represented our rōpū with mana. Thank you to our whānau, supporters, tutors, and volunteers who continue to encourage and uplift our rangatahi on their journey.

The future is bright, and tonight was another reminder of the strength, resilience, and potential within our young people.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. Some of our members may be carrying challenges that are not always visible. A simple "Kei te pai koe?" can make a real difference.
