Hey guys, we've made the hard decision that Cubs Club will no longer run after the 19th of December. It wasn't an easy choice but one that has to be made as we move on to different adventures, we will miss your smiling faces and the friendships we've made. Please still come to the last three sessions, we still have lots of fun planned, this week we have a summer theme, next week we will have lots of water play, the 19th of December we will have a Christmas party and end our year with smiles and laughter.

If you'd like to start your own playgroup, Ashley from Playgroup Tas is more than happy to help and there's heaps of other fun playgroups around on a Thursday to keep in mind for Thursdays next year.

It's pets week at Cub's Club Playgroup!
This week we have a special guest - Ann from Delta Dog Safe who is coming to give some awesome tips on how to be safe around dogs.
Ann will be at Cub's Club from 11 onwards but until then we will have lots of fun activities planned!

Here's some information on Delta Dog Safe;
"Delta Dog Safe™ is a targeted community education program providing practical ways young children and their families can reduce the incidence of dog bite. The program is delivered to children aged between four and eight years in schools and child care centres across Tasmania. Children are provided with simple messages about dog behaviour and how to stay safe around dogs. Using visuals, role play and a life-size toy dog, the presentation equips children with skills to interact with dogs safely at home and in the wider community.

Children are shown:
*How to recognise whether a dog is feeling scared, angry, or happy
*When not to approach a dog
*How to pat a dog safely
*How to behave when confronted with an unknown or aggressive dog

Strengthening the bond between children and their family pet dog brings well documented benefits to children’s health and wellbeing. When all family members understand the basics of dog behaviour and how to interpret dog body language, everyone benefits."
