On the morning of Day 6, we woke up in Daly Waters, and we had a lovely couple come up to us and ask if we were from Wonthaggi as they recognized the car. They happened to be Greg and Shirley, also from Wonthaggi. All the way out there, and we bumped into locals! They asked for a selfie, which we were more than happy to do. To top it off, they generously donated $50 towards our fundraising.

Today's dead car count for the whole rally is 36-37, which is a record for all current rallies. This shows how challenging it was. Yesterday, we had the after-party/awards, which was the wrap-up of the rally. Our online fundraiser stays open for another two weeks, then it will close. If anyone is thinking of donating, now is the time! Also, a big thanks to everyone who has donated, supported, followed, commented, etc. We can't do it without you all!

We made it to Darwin :). The car is definitely not happy at the moment; it's stalling out on idle. But we made the 607 km into Darwin. 30 km from the finish line, we lost another car in our buddy group, so we were down to 5 cars out of 7. The rally as a whole was amazing and definitely challenging in its own way. It's always a relief to make it to the finish line. Sorry the last few days the posts have been brief. We had big days and busy nights. When I gather up pictures, I'll post them. We appreciate everyone following and supporting us; it means a lot to us, and it couldn't have been done without your help.

Today is finish line day. Timber Creek to Darwin 607kms of sealed road. Car is full of red dust, missing the drivers side inner guard liner, window switches work when they want too, the newly fitted strut tops are half rooted again, suspension in general jingles like Christmas and the car is stalling out and running rough due to the dust intake. But we will see you all at the end :)

Last night we made Timber Creek. The Falcon isn't happy with all the dust it has sucked in, but that's nothing compared to others. This rally has set a record for dead cars, and the Tarago in our buddy group sadly died yesterday and is no longer in the rally.
