Who left these two in charge of the cub section? Our Cub section PL and APL, along with four other Inverell cubs, had a blast at the North West Gang Show camp hosted by 2nd Armidale Scouts.

Thank you to Armidale for hosting, and Pebbles, Wren, Cookie and Helen for supporting our kiddos over a fun and creative weekend!

What a great night we had on Saturday night at our annual trivia night fundraiser. We are so thankful to the amazing sponsors whose generous support made the night possible!! Inverell is indeed a small town with a big heart. We love our sponsors!

Pre Trivia briefing - one of our few photos from last night, because once we started, the facts and fun was coming at us fast!! Our cubs, scouts and venturers got their steps in taking bribes from the teams competing for top spot (or wooden spoon!), our scorers were madly ticking answers and getting the points added to the tally board, and our MCs kept the questions rolling throughout the night.

A huge thank you to all our teams (SIXTEEN this year, a record!!), for supporting the Scouts and our work with the youth of Inverell, and of course our wonderful sponsors, without whom we couldn’t host such a successful event.

And finally, thank you to our leaders and committee members for their months of work preparing for the evening. Today…we rest!

TRIVIA TUESDAY!! True or false - Akubra hats are made from kangaroo pelts

For more fun facts, fast games, and fabulous company, join us on Saturday night for our annual trivia night!

WHEN: 6pm for 6:30pm, Saturday 30th May (four sleeps!)
WHERE: Inverell RSM Club auditorium

🪑up to eight people per table, $10 a head - only pay for who comes!
🏆 table prizes, raffles, lucky door prizes, silent auction, and novelty round prizes. Over $3000 of prizes on offer on the night!
🪙 bring your gold coins, as your scouts are open to bribes and will give you an answer, or double points...for a price!
🍽️ make a night of it - the bistro will be open from 5pm to treat yourself to a yummy dinner before coming up to dazzle us with your knowledge!
❗️ team work makes the dream work! It's more about a wide knowledge base across the team, you never know what obscure fact you picked up in lockdown might just be the one to win on the night.

We are down to the last couple of tables, and the final preparations are underway! There are no minimums for our tables, bring as few or as many friends as you like (max 8 per table), and just $10 per person entry. With over $3000 in prizes, it's going to be a fabulous night with fun, facts and frivolity on the agenda. Grab your friends, polish up on your random-thing-you-learned-in-lockdown trivia, and don't forget to stop by the bistro for a meal on the way through - it will be open from 5pm to be sure you won't be fact-finding on an empty tummy!

The days are getting shorter but that just makes pioneering challenges more fun!! Last week, our scouts & venturers had a blast building a seesaw by torchlight, while inside, the joeys and cubs were busy learning morse code and transmitting messages to each other!

Inverell Scout Group meets on Thursday nights, from 6pm for all sections. We welcome boys and girls of school age (5-18) for weekly after-school activities focused on fun, friendship, adventure and creativity. Drop us a DM to chat about how scouting could benefit your child!
