🌏⚜️ Happy World Scout Day! ⚜️🌏

Today we celebrate the incredible worldwide Scouting family and the values that have inspired millions of young people for over 100 years. On 1 August, Scouts around the world proudly wear their scarves to commemorate the first Scout Camp held on Brownsea Island in 1907—the beginning of the Scouting movement.

At Goondi Scouts, we're proud to help young people develop confidence, resilience, leadership and lifelong friendships through fun, adventure and service to our community.

Whether you're a Joey Scout, Cub Scout, Scout, Venturer, Rover, Leader or former Scout—today is a great day to wear your scarf with pride and remember the promise to help create a better world.

🚨 Getting Ready for Emergencies! 🚨

This week our Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts learned all about being prepared for emergencies.

We watched a short video about what belongs in an emergency kit and why having one ready at home is so important. Afterward, everyone put their new knowledge to work by creating their own emergency preparedness posters. 🎨🎒

The excitement is building as we get ready for a visit from the SES, where our youth members will have the opportunity to learn even more about staying safe and helping their communities during emergencies.

Great work, Joeys and Cubs! We can't wait for our SES visit! 💙💛

⛺ Only ONE week of school holidays left before it's back to the school routine!

Has your child been asking for more camping adventures, bushwalks, outdoor challenges, or opportunities to make new friends? Or maybe you'd like to see them spending a little less time on screens and a lot more time exploring the outdoors?

Scouts could be exactly what you're looking for!

At Goondi Scouts, we welcome young people aged 5 to 25 years and provide exciting opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence, become more independent, and develop leadership in a fun and supportive environment.

Our youth help shape their own adventures, working alongside Leaders and, as they grow, taking on more responsibility by planning activities through their Youth Councils. From camping and hiking to community service, games, and lifelong friendships, there's always something exciting happening.

While Goondi Scouts doesn't have any Cubs or Scouts attending this year, we're excited to follow along and cheer on everyone taking part! 🎉

We're especially proud that our awesome District Commissioner is attending as part of the leadership team, helping deliver an incredible experience for all the youth members.

Over the coming week we'll be sharing some of the amazing activities, adventures and achievements happening at so our members and families can see what this fantastic event is all about.

🌟 Adventure starts here with Goondi Scouts! 🌟

Are you looking for an activity that helps young people build confidence, learn practical skills, make lifelong friends, and have incredible adventures? Goondi Scouts welcomes youth aged 5–25 years, from Joey Scouts through to Rovers.

We meet every Monday night during the school term and offer opportunities to experience camping, paddling, archery, navigation, rock climbing, leadership development, community service, and so much more.

We're also looking for adult volunteers who would like to make a difference in the lives of young people. No Scouting experience is required—training and support are provided.
