If 35 degrees or over in Victor we won't meet. The Group was founded in March 2003; none of the original members had quilted before. A full time tutor was engaged to ensure the members learned the craft of patchwork and quilting and were able to encourage others to join in the activities of the Group. The Group has now grown to

around 35 members and offers a communal gathering for women who thoroughly enjoy the friendship and companionship available to those within the wider Inman Valley community. From time to time workshops are conducted with qualified tutors to further the knowledge and enjoyment of its members. Quilts are also made by members to be gifted to various organisations. Quilts are gifted to organisations who assist vulnerable and at risk groups in our community, including hospitals, domestic violence and homeless services and raffle quilts for organisations. Our group gifts around 70 - 100 quilts a year. The Group holds an exhibition of quilts made by our members every two years, following our March 2023 exhibition. The exhibition showcases quilts by our members, which have not been seen in other local exhibitions before. There is a Challenge and Stage Display each exhibition. We offer raffle quilts with the proceeds being donated to organisations such as South Coast Palliative Care, Safe Pets Safe Families, the Fleurieu Cancer Support Foundation, Commando Welfare Trust and the Inman Valley CFS from past shows. . We meet in the Inman Valley Uniting Church Hall on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Tuesdays of each month, 10.30am to 2.30pm, we bring our lunch, tea and coffee provided, we work on our own (hand quilting or other crafts such as knitting or embroidery) or a group project such as our gifting quilts, and of course we do a lot of talking and laughing. New members are always welcome to join our happy and friendly environment and encouraged to participate in the activities of the Group. For further information or any questions please phone the secretary Glenda on 0407 713 659. Inman Quilters are affiliated with the Quilters Guild of SA

Our first trading day for the year will be at McLaren Vale Patchworkers Exhibition. A two day exhibition with a trading table and two shops. This is always a great exhibition put on by a very talented and enthusiastic group of quilters. There will be a quilter in residence and a lovely morning or afternoon tea. I hope you are able to visit on one or both days!
