It was a real pleasure to see our vibrant gallery come alive today with over 80 visitors helping to celebrate the opening of "Home, a beautiful creative collaboration by two sisters Abigail Guthrie and Chelsea Hayward.
'Home' is such a simple word, yet it can hold a lifetime of memories - the places we grew up, the people who shaped us, the landscapes we know by heart, and those little moments that stay with us long after we have moved on.
Through their art, Abigail and Chelsea invite us into their journey - a nostaalgic collection of memories, stories and shared experienced. What make this exhibition particulary special is that it has been created by Sisters.
Two individual creative voices, connected by family, memories and a shared sense of where they come from.
And that is what makes exhibitions like this so important in a rural community.
A small gallery can be a very big place. It is a place where stories are shared, creativity is celebrated, friendships grow and local talent gets the opportunitity to shine.
Today this vibrant little gallery becomes not just a place to view art, but a place to connect with the meaning of 'Home".
To Abigail and Chelsea, congratulations on bringing your memories, your creativity and your hearts together in this inspiring exhibition.
May everyone who walks through these doors find something that reminds them of their own home - perhaps a place, a person, a simple memory or that wonderul feeling of belonging.
Thank you for allowing Injune Arts, to share a little piece of your 'Home" today.

Tonight we opened a vibrant Exhibition -'Where the Light Falls' - an Exhibition that shines a light on the remarkable creativity of our Maranoa Region Artists.
Living in a rural community teaches us to notice the beauty that others often miss.
The Golden Glow across paddocks at sunrise, the rich colours after rain, the quiet strength of our landscapes, the incredible palate of colours in every sunset and the resilience of the people who call this region home.
That same light is reflected in every piece you will see in this exhibition.
Each artwork tells a story of creativity, courage, patience and passion.
Together, they remind us that art has a unique way of bringing people together, encouraging us to slow down, see the world through different eyes, and find beauty in everyday life.
Injune Arts extend their sincere appreciation to all Artists involved in this Exhibition. thank you for sharing your talent, your stories and a little piece of yourselves with us. Your work enriches our community and reminds us that inspiration can be found wherever we choose to look.
We invite you to wander through the gallery, and take a moment to discover your own interpretation of 'Where The Light Falls'.
Sue Pukallus.
