The Maraka Festival Committee would like to acknowledge and pass on our condolences to the Clerk family. Brian and โ€˜Bestyโ€™ were regular participants in our street parade for many years. Additionally, as a committed volunteer on the community, his tragic loss will be felt.

INGHAM MARAKA FESTIVAL

๐ŸŽญ Planning is well underway for the 2026 Ingham Maraka Festival, and weโ€™re excited to announce this yearโ€™s vibrant theme: Rio Carnivale! ๐ŸŽ‰

While the committee is still putting the finishing touches on the full program, we can confirm that the festival will be celebrated across three exciting weekends.

The opening event now planned for Saturday 17 October where the Maraka Queen entrants will be presented.

The Afternoon Tea will be on Sunday 25 October and the Mardi Gras on Saturday 31 October.

Thereโ€™s plenty more to come, so stay tuned for further announcements as we reveal more details about what promises to be a colourful and unforgettable 2026 festival!
