Pause the Process. Consult the Community.
We are a group of local residents deeply concerned by St Peters College’s plan for 11 major building projects to be completed in the next decade. These projects include two four-storey high-density boarding houses on Harts Road and a new Harts Road kerbside pick-up/drop off facility.
Given their scale and location, these projects will have significant, long-lasting and irrevocable effects on our community. We believe there has been inadequate community consultation in the planning of these projects.
If approved by the Minister, there is no right of appeal and the projects will proceed without any further approvals or community consultation. We are asking Minister Dick to put the designation process on hold to allow the College to seek wider Community consultation.
The only way we can pause this process is to unite as a community so our voice will be heard.
