QLD Blue Light Association Inc is a non profit organisation which provides a variety of programs and activities for young people across QLD.

Supporting QLD youth through drug and alcohol-free programs and activities since 1984. We are a not-for-profit charity that have remained steadfast in our mission to support young individuals through drug and alcohol-free programs and activities since our establishment in 1984. Within our community, we hold a vital role by offering guidance and mentorship, with both police officers and civilian vo

lunteers serving as exemplary role models. Our track record, spanning nearly four decades, demonstrates our effectiveness in implementing evidence-based youth development programs. We extend our support to youth in Queensland under the age of 18, providing them with safe and appropriate early intervention programs and activities conducted in an environment completely free from alcohol, drugs, and violence.

So last week we had our first Disco for 2026. The children had a ball. The 2 photos are a lost and found and the coin turned up in the canteen money tray. We are hoping it was an honest mistake and not the beginnings of fakes doing the rounds of Gympie area.
We would also ask the parents to have a little whisper to their children about putting all popper containers in the green bin, rubbish in the black bins and NO just dropping food and papers under the table sure this doesn't happen at home. This little bit of help will make our volunteers very happy.

Wow what a night for the first disco for 2026. We had 72 children who danced, played games, won prizes and ate everything we had to eat. A big shout out Continers for Change making it easier to recycle our popper packs. A big shout to all who supplied prizes for the night and a huge thanks to our Volunteers without you all this just wouldn't happen. Keep your eyes out for the next disco date will be June 2026.

Only 4 sleeps till our first Mary Valley Blue Light Disco for 2025. See you all at Kandanga Community Hall Main Street Kandanga from 630pm till 8.30pm, $5.00 entry fee and small notes and coins for buying treats at Canteen.

Friday 20th March 2026 is the first Mary Valley Blue Disco for 2026 at Kandanga Community Hall Main Street Kandanga. We start at 6.30pm till 8.30pm and entry is $5.00 per child and don't forget small notes or change for treats at the Canteen.

Don't forget this Friday 21st November 2025 at 6.30pm till 8.30pm is the last Mary Valley Blue Light until 2026. We have the special $1.00 entry for children 8yrs to 15yrs. Also a Mega draw of prizes. Don't forget to bring your coins and small notes so you can buy treats from canteen. Remember parents with Blue Cards can volunteer or those without we can help with the process. See you all Friday night.

Remember only 10 sleeps to our Mega Draw Mary Valley Blue Light Disco with a very special $1.00 entry fee for each disco child thanks to Lori Kerr at Raine and Horne who got the 'Good to Give Grant' for use to offer this discount. Disco is for children 8yrs to 15yrs and we start at 6.30pm and finish at 8.30pm. There is a canteen but we ask for coins and small notes. See you all at Kandanga Public Hall, Main Street, Kandanga across the road from Kandanga State School.

Oh what a night it is shaping up to be not just the Mega Prize draw but now due to some grant money 'Good to Give Grant' organised by Lori at Raine & Horne we will be only asking for $1.00 entry to our Mary Valley Blue Light Disco coming up on Friday 21st November 2025 at 6.30pm till 8.30pm for children 8yrs to 13 yrs. WHO IS COMING to have fun, games and dancing. Looking forward to seeing lots of new faces and all those that attend our Discos from the past.
