Ok so next Saturday 11th July 2026 Mary Valley Blue Light Disco will have a stall with Imbil Rural Watch at the Mary River Festival so if you have an interest please come and have a chat. We shall also have a competition going with Gympie Green Solutions Containers for change. If you have a recyle container that you have used whilst at the Festival then come and try you luck at getting into the our Bin if you are lucky maybe you will get a prize. See you all next Saturday. A huge thanks to all our helpers last night. Those children who turned up had a great night. Watch out for Mary River Festival 11th July 2026 our next Disco date will be advertised and we shall be having a competition.

Our last Disco for 2025 was November. So now is the time to thank our Volunteers, our Police Force and to thank all those that make donations of prizes for our Disco Children. As the children enter they have an entry into lucky door, they get prizes in Dance off, they get prizes for the Limbo competition.

Huge thanks to the following businesses and people that support Mary Valley Blue Light: Hon Tony Perrett, Kandanga Snack Bar, Kandanga Post Office, Bunnings Gympie, Mary Valley Traders, Liberty Imbil, Friends of Amamoor, Sports Power Gympie, Woolworths Gympie, Smart Sinks, Perseverance Property, Crawford Designs, Colin & Cath Robinson, Mary Valley Lions and McDonalds Traveston. We also secured grants from Gympie Council, Llew O'Brien and Lori Kerr (Raine & Horne Noosa) Grant from Good to Give Grants.

Wow what a night for the first disco for 2026. We had 72 children who danced, played games, won prizes and ate everything we had to eat. A big shout out Continers for Change making it easier to recycle our popper packs. A big shout to all who supplied prizes for the night and a huge thanks to our Volunteers without you all this just wouldn't happen. Keep your eyes out for the next disco date will be June 2026.

As many of you know the lady who takes care of our page was hacked back in December. This caused her a lot of heartache as the hackers took away the ability to do her Volunteer work as they stole her page which she is still trying to get back, took over her own businesses.

Through some very strong detective work she has be able to get back Mary Valley Blue Light page via headoffice, she has had the Imbil Rural Watch page rebuilt, got some of her business pages back but still working on Personal page.

So now we need to go back to November and start adding thanks to all who help with Mary Valley Blue Light.

So last week we had our first Disco for 2026. The children had a ball. The 2 photos are a lost and found and the coin turned up in the canteen money tray. We are hoping it was an honest mistake and not the beginnings of fakes doing the rounds of Gympie area.
We would also ask the parents to have a little whisper to their children about putting all popper containers in the green bin, rubbish in the black bins and NO just dropping food and papers under the table sure this doesn't happen at home. This little bit of help will make our volunteers very happy.
