Living the Good Life Festival Promoting Happy, Healthy, Sustainable Lifestyles. An annual festival held in September (17th/18th) in the laidback, natural township of Iluka.

Iluka, on the banks of the mighty Clarence River in northern NSW, beside the magnificent Bundjalung National Park, with its world heritage rainforest has been chosen as the site to launch this new festival. A weekend of celebration, inspiration and information in beautiful Iluka with something for everyone! This year our theme is ‘simple pleasures’; where the best things in life really are free. S

urfing, walking, fishing, singing, kite flying, dancing, bicycle riding, cooking, drawing, gardening…there are so many simple, inexpensive and gentle ways to live well and nurture a vibrant community. Sat 17th: bicycle ride from Woombah (8am) to Woody Head camping ground (kids welcome) to Iluka (10am) to launch the festival. Live music and performances,workshops, displays, games, local produce, healthy food, entertainment, recycled fashion parade, flash mob dance extravaganza (check out the web page for more info. and learn the moves!), sustainable home design competition, mullet throwing competition, kids activities, face painting, mechanical surfboard and more. Sun 18th (Main Beach): surfing, kite-flying, games, dance, sculpture, and a hundred other ways to enjoy the beach!
