Join us as we celebrate NAIDOC Week 2026 – 50 Years Deadly through culture, storytelling, art, food and connection.

Whether you attend Day 1, Day 2, or both, everyone is welcome to be part of these meaningful community experiences led by Michael Ward from Katter Kich Tours.

Explore the stories, culture and significance of Country on a guided walk along the Wave Rock Trail, followed by a traditional damper-making session at the Hyden Community Resource Centre.

Learn about the importance of storytelling in Aboriginal culture, contribute to our collaborative Tree of Stories community artwork, and enjoy making traditional Johnny Cakes.

For the first time, our camp doors are open to the Hyden community!

Join us for a gentle, low-impact Tai Chi session designed to support balance, flexibility, coordination, relaxation, and overall wellbeing. Whether you're completely new to Tai Chi or have tried it before, everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a friendly and supportive environment.

🚗💛 SOCK Week 2026 is Here! 💛🚗

The Hyden Community Resource Centre is proud to be taking part in SOCK Week (Save Our Country Kids) from 29 June – 3 July 2026.

SOCK Week is all about raising awareness of road safety in regional communities and encouraging everyone to make safer choices on our roads. Throughout the week we'll be hosting a range of activities for our community to get involved in!

🐑🐐 Sheep and Goat Electronic Identification (eID) Workshop🐑🐐

Join us at the Hyden Community Resource Centre for an informative workshop designed to help producers understand the upcoming eID requirements and how to use the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) when uploading eID tags.

This workshop will cover:
• eID tagging requirements and timelines
• Responsibilities for recording livestock movements
• A live scanning wand demonstration
• Guidance on uploading movements to NLIS
• Q&A support session following the presentation
